Conversation Designer

We are looking for an AI Conversation Designer responsible for creating highly personalized conversational chatbot templates for our customers. Amy aims to be the most intuitive chatbot for small businesses. A key driver to that goal is to understand customers’ businesses really well and build chatbot templates that can answer most of their customers’ questions with little to no effort required from them. This role is critical to Amy’s success. We’d like to find someone who shares the same passion in helping small businesses grow with AI and chatbot technologies.

This is a rare opportunity to learn and gain experience while making a daily impact on a company experiencing exponential growth. All hires will take part in a "probationary period" to determine if the role is a good fit.

This is a fully remote position. You will need to work effectively and efficiently from home with people from around the globe in a variety of time zones.

Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Own every stage of the conversation design process, from research and design mapping to script writing and QA
  • Conduct industry research and customer interviews to truly understand customers’ needs
  • Design user journeys, conversational flows and bot personas tailored to different business types
  • Track and analyze performance of customers’ chatbots
  • Use data and user insights to optimize existing chatbot templates
  • Document standards, frameworks and processes for conversation design or chatbot building
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, algorithm experts and AI engineers to enhance our chatbot experience.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Linguistics, English, Screenwriting or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in AI conversation design, chatbot knowledge management, AI training, chatbot building, small business customer service or a related field.
  • Excellent writing skills (outstanding spelling and grammar) and consistent record of writing in different styles and tones on behalf of a brand
  • Knowledge of or experience with small businesses
  • Knowledge of how qualitative and quantitative research can improve your designs
  • Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of natural language processing is an advantage.
