What does a typical day look like for Conversation Designer?

A Conversation Designer is responsible for designing engaging and impactful conversational experiences. A Conversation Designer should understand business requirements, conduct UX research, and create natural dialogue flows keeping technical constraints and product capabilities in mind.


What responsibilities will you be trusted with for the : 

  • Understand business requirements and craft conversational dialogue flows aimed at solving end user queries and delivering value to our customers
  • Ability to synthesise multiple perspectives (Clients, Developers, Program Managers) and create clear, compelling conversational journeys
  • Proactively identify impediments/edge cases and provide resolutions during the Design and Ideation phases of a project
  • Be an expert user of the Haptik platform to create virtual assistants in accordance with business requirements and bring ideas into reality.
  • Be client-facing and consult or walkthrough clients on design solutions for their virtual assistance requirements with confidence and expertise
  • Help drive innovation and continuous improvement in bot quality and related business processes.
  • Help the delivery team scale up by identifying opportunities to reuse solutions and improve automation
  • Provide feedback to the product team regarding improvements/changes to the Haptik Platform


What skills,expertise and experience are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field (Design, UX or Writing preferred)
  • Basic understanding of how chatbots are designed.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English along with editing and proof-reading skills (word choice, grammar, and style)
  • Should be able to display critical thinking and logical reasoning skills
  • Should have a creative outlook and a keen eye for detail
  • Self-driven, comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrates initiative, a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to derive insights from data and build an actionable strategy based on analysis
  • Passion about conversational AI (especially virtual assistants) a must.

* Requirements is such a strong word. We don’t necessarily expect to find a candidate that has done everything listed, but you should be able to make a credible case that you’ve done most of it and are ready for the challenge of adding some new things to your resume.
